I would like to take this time to tell you all (my lovely, lovely, LOVELY readers) that I am launching a new blog under my own name (Daniel John Hardy) very soon!! I am so excited to share my new ideas and life with you all, so please stay tuned!

The Fall 2011 collection of Rodarte for Opening Ceremony! I am so crazy in love with this collection and all editorial photos. It is so refreshing to see a new idea that is fun and stands out from all the other fall collections. I love how high fashion the collection is but still has such wearability. The Rodarte sisters impress me season after season, they are just such an inspiration!

I want to go to my nearest Opening Ceremony store (Los Angeles!) and try it all on! (...And everything else in the store just because I'm already there?)

SHOPPING DAY: CROQUIS BY JNBY

Last week I went into the JNBY store on West 4th in Vancouver and tried on some new fall 2011 product from JNBY's men's line called Croquis. I love everything in the new collection! I took some snapshots of a few outfits I put together/what I need to be wearing this fall! The collection as a whole is very strong, simple but interesting. I love Croquis because every piece is fashion forward and designed with such detail, pieces you feel confident and comfortable in. Perfect!

The only problem now is I want it all!

He always comes up with collections that are creative and so different, while still having fun... Of course! I am so crazy about all the Mexican banket prints he used, so colourful and fun!

Alright, I'm inspired. The Givenchy Spring Summer 2012 collection is out of this world! I feel like it is so forward thinking and is breaking the image of what we think of mens fashion. I love all the clean white with green and purple leaf prints, I love the military olive monochromatic looks, I love all the skirts... I just love it all!

Who knows, maybe you will see me in a "man-skirt" next spring? ...Just you wait!

Riccardo Tisci's lastest collection for Givenchy is truly amazing. The breathtaking prints and so inspiring! I deem this my favorite Resort 2012 Collection. (You can hold me to it!) Givenchy's collections are always amazing, but this collection just really stands out to me.

The Michael Angel Resort 2012 collection. In the past I have always looked at Angel's collections, but this season really caught my eye! I love all the different colour and pattern mixing and how structured all the fabric are. I feel like this designer has shown a different side to resort which is so refreshing!

Painter Richard Phillips chose the notorious Lindsay Lohan to star in his first short film appropriately titled "Lindsay Lohan". As part of an art exhibit called Commercial Break featuring 80 art films that will open next week at the 54th Venice Beinnale. I have to say that I actually really like the look and editing of this art film, Lohan does a pretty good job!

The Prada Fall Winter 2011 show. I have to say, last season Prada did not do it for me. I felt that the denim hospital smocks where just not my forte? Anyways, this season I really like what I see. I love all the amazing textures that are mixed together and the design of each piece. Good or bad, Prada is Prada. It has that way about it that is a step above and will always such a classic staple in fashion.

I am at home relaxing with my favorite scanted candle lit reviewing the days fashion shows at New York Fashion Week, and I finally found photos of the Proenza Schouler Fall Winter 2011 show! As many of you lovely Pop Couture readers already know, I am a huge PS fan, and look forward to seeing their collections every season. What I love about this collection is all of the beautiful patterns and dark coloured tones. Every season the design and fit is impecable, and this collection is no exception. I am so happy that Jack and Lazaro have produced such an amazing brand year after year!

The Row Fall 2011 collection is amazing! I am so impressed with how great Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen did this season. I am not usually one to go crazy over celebrity clothing lines, but these twins have totally won me over! I love all the fur and lace, and how consistently good it is. My favourite model of more then a moment, Karlie Kloss seems to never quit! This St. Louis native is everywhere and I am so happy to see that. If you are a loyal (love you!) Pop Couture reader, you will know I always favour her every time I post something evolving her. This eighteen year old St. Louis native has been featured in every major magazine such as Vogues (worldwide) Teen Vogue, Elle, and Harpers Bazaar. Also she has stared of campaigns for designers like Donna Karan, Nina Ricci, Chloé, Alexander McQueen, Yves Saint Laurent, and Dolce & Gabbana, just to name a few! Her signature moody-cool strut has been a runway favourite as she has walked in hundreds of shows. She is so positive and beautiful, you can tell she has a good heart from the look in her eyes... Even when she is being serious and high fashion, you can tell there is still a heart of gold in there! I believe that Kloss is one of our modern day supermodels and will be around for a long, long time to come!

JOE FRESH SPRING SUMMER 2011

The always fun and exciting Joe Fresh fashion show was in full force this year at Toronto LG Fashion Week. I have attended the show for the last four seasons, and this season beat my expectations once again! There was such a consistency of how strong and wearable the collection was. This season, Joseph Mimran designed a collection that was Boy Scout themed. Joe Fresh is now a sponsor for Scouts Canada and used this new partnership to make an adorable line! At the show, each person had a Boy Scout bandana waiting for them at their seats that was such a great touch to the show. I am so happy to have been invited to the Joe Fresh show again this season, I am so in love with this brand! I hope most of these looks become available in the spring at all the new Joe Fresh stores opening up.

Michael and Drew Thomas showed their new collection at LG Fashion Week in Toronto this past week, and this video went along with it. I was there for both the show and this video premiere, and they both gave my shivers down my spine! My good friend Jason Poisson is the main model in the video, he has such a way about him that just makes everything he does so high fashion. He is such a talent, watch out for him!

I always look forward to the Pink Tartan Show and what Kimberley Newport-Mimran shows us each season. I was really excited about this collection because it is like nothing Tartan has produced before! All the neon colours and vintage patterns, I felt like I was in a 70's wonderland! Show wise: Each model had an energy about them that made the show so exciting and full of energy. Pink Tartan used most of Canada's current top models which gave the show a very international feel. The music and installation-esk platforms that the models stood on was such a great and refreshing idea... And also gave us more time to drool over each look! I am so proud to have been in attendance again this year. I think Pink Tartan looks so international and is sell-able in any international market.

Styled by Anne-Marie Curti, and shot by David Vasiljevic, Chung models such classic and timeless pieces that will never go out of style. (I even believe in that leopard hat!) I love you Alexa... She is such a style star, and has such a way about her that is so classically cool.

The Proenza Schouler Spring Summer 2011 Collection. I am so excited about this collection because these boys have brought us something beautiful and different once again! I love all of the amazing and deep colours and cuts this season, it is really dynamic and stands out from the rest. Designer duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez are so young and refreshing, I feel like they are going to be the new kings of fashion and help take us to the next generation of this industry! The preppy and over all prettied-up look of this collection is so perfect for spring. On a side note, could someone be nice enough to send me one of those panel necklaces... Please?

The Maison Martin Magiela Spring Summer 2011 Collection. I am so excited to see such a different and interesting collection at Paris Fashion Week this season! Fine, I'll say it, this collection is not wearable, as the models are literary not wearing most of the pieces, but I find is so artistic and inspiring! I would totally rock one of those jackets-on-a-board any day. Garment wise, I love all the neutral colour choosing and the over all moody and feeling of this whole collection.

You may not feel comfortable going to the grocery store in a pair of those pants-on-a-panel, but you know its very tempting!

The Sass & Bide Spring Summer 2011 Collection. I always really like what the these Aussie girls produce, and I am so impressed with their newest collection! It is so different and fresh for the usual lines. The Fall Winter 2010 Collection was all about black and white strips, and I feel this collection is totally the opposite. All the fabrics and prints are so spot on and beautiful. It is also nice to see that they did not stray away from their quirky styling, I am so in love with those big spunky collars, I want one!

The Matthew Williamson Spring Summer 2011 Collection. I am completely head-over-heals! It is so fresh and spring, but with that hard and still high fashion edge. I first started fallowing Williamson when he collaborated with H&M for a line released last year, and this collection has made me even more of a fan of his! My favorite pieces have to be the gold detailed mini dresses and pieces, they are so strong and detail oriented, wearable art. Williamson brings us quit a solid collection!

One of my favorite and most anticipated collection is finally shown! The Marc By Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 2011 Collection was in full force this season all thanks to the lovely M.J. team. As many of you lovely Pop Couture readers already know, I am a massive Marc Jacobs fan. I have been following his career since I was a we-little one who wanted to be just like him one day. He will always be an inspiration to me no matter what! Now, on to the collection: I am so in love. All the bold strips and busy patterns are great and so wonderfully spring. There are a bunch of pieces that are fun plays on classics, and I am so obsessed with the over sized sweater one piece! (Show in the first photo.) The models are so well casted for the show, a great selection of unique and quirky beauty's that make the show so fun. I get so excited about this collection because all of these pieces are so wearable and quit affordable. It give us young fashionist's a chance to get our hands on it!

One of my model favorites, Chanel Iman graced us in an oh-so-edgy cover and editorial for Flare Magazine's October issue. Stylist direction from editor Elizabeth Cabral and photographed by Max Abadian. These looks are so perfect for fall and show a lot of different colours and styles that are turning into must-have fall essentials! Featuring designers pieces from Stella McCartney, Burberry, Miu Miu, and more. I have been fallowing Chanel Iman's modeling career from pretty much the start and I have to say, I am very impressed and proud of how far she has come. That girl sure knows how to work a camera!

Also, such a gorgeous cover picture. Go Flare! (Always nice to see a great Canadian magazine produce such an interesting editorial.)

My all time favorite designer Marc Jocobs, and the always amazing and entertaining, Lady Gaga grace the cover of the latest issue of V Magazine together. I feel like this is an amazing pairing, (more then just because they are both from New York) but because they are both revolutionary and think outside the box! They don't do what other people want them to, they do what feels right... I think this is something we all need to learn!

This Canadian native was shot by Raphael Mazzucco and styled by Anthony Miropoulos in a way that is truly a work of art! I am so in love with Daria, and this editorial just sends shivers down my spine. I love how edgy but still unbelievably gorgeous she is, an element of beauty that you dont see everyday. Such a strong and raw spread that is not always expect to come out of Canada, but we are coming with a vengeance!

The Burberry Prorsum Men's Spring Summer 2011 Collection. This season is as incredible as always! I have gone through each look again and again, and am so in love with this military-rocker-bad-ass collection! I love how the design elements of each piece and jacket are traditionally Burberry but with an edge we have not seen before. I think it is really inspiring to see such structure and fine design from Burberry that is consistent season after season. I love the mix of leather, studs, chain, and most of all the shoulder detailing that are the fundaments for all of these looks. A sort of Rock Soldier inspiration for each of these looks? Designer and creative director for Burberry, Christopher Bailey is truly one of our most talented designers of our generation.

Just amazing. (... I want it all!)

Such a cute editorial! It's so perfect for summer and shows what ideally we all want to be doing. I love how cute all the styling is, it's very casual summer- A kind of look that comes naturally to many style mavens. Adding a loose Tie to a button up is something I am such a fan of lately! Photographer Drew Innis takes wonderful shots of model Alexia Rasmussen that come across so carefree and young, which is so ideal for this season! Hopefully this hot August month with be full of hanging out and traveling for everyone.

I think it's so adorable and perfect for a Hampton's vacation or these hot summer months. This month's Teen Vogue just came out and as many of you already know, I'm the biggest Teen Vogue fan ever... So I just had to post this editorial right away! What I love about this story is that the military styling mixed with the pops of bright colour and feminine pieces really do it for me! I love an editorial that is simple and exciting, with styling that gives you inspiration to try something new and to push the limits. I have already started my military metal collection, but I need more stat!

Is Sky Ferriera the fashion scene's new baby pop star? This 17-year-old, Los Angeles born singer/model/actess/Waffles+Falafel's cool girl, really knows how to make us pop lovers fall in love with all things Sky! After being introduced to her by some lovely friends of mine, I have become quickly hooked. I think she really does a great mix of pop music and fashion, which seems like the best combination to me!
