Natalie Portman's Shaved Head. Enough said.

My favorite new band?  "Natalie Portman's Shaved Head" of course! Also known as NPSH, These Seattle natives are definitely not going anywhere! After meeting at The Center School, an art-based college prep. school in Seattle, Sean Libman, and Luke Smith formed the group, then later invited David Price and Claire England to join as well. More recently, Liam Downey Jr. got recruited from another band to join the group after been found on Myspace.

The group's very interesting name was named after the appearance of Actress, Natalie Portman in the movie "V for Vendetta". And yes, Natalie does in fact know about the band, but has yet to contact them!

After releasing their debut album, "Glistening Pleasure" in July 2008, The band toured with various bands, and currently is the opener for Lily Allen's North American tour.

How I love you so, House Of Harlow.

On Tuesday night (April 21st) I attended the launch party for Nicole Richie's jewelry line, House of Harlow 1960, and I got to say... I am in love! Everything in the line is so stylish and cute, and has that very vintage antique feel. What was exciting about this party was I got a chance to one of the first see the line in Canada! The party was held at Holt Renfrew's Bloor St. location on the store's Contemporary floor. Thos floor was filled with beautiful jewelry and clothing. The party had great music, free cocktails, and beautiful people! (and not to mention, Nicole in Person!) 

Nicole's line is exclusive in canada to Holt Renfrew, and will be available is all the stores soon!

What a Fresh Looking Crocodile!

The morning, I came across one of the new spring Lacoste ads while flipping through a fashion magazine, and it hit me, I'm head over heals in love with everything that Lacoste is doing right now! This campaign is so fresh, fun, and exciting, and it makes me feel instantly happier! Lacoste, of course, has always been a go-to for high end sportswear, and they are famous for always having jumping models in their print ads, but they have really made over this tradition!

I think the world needs a view of happiness and positivity to get through these rough times, a sort of "Its all going to be okay!" feeling.

Your an Anniemal!

So, are you an Annie fan? are you? well I hope so! I have been listening to her for quite awhile now, and she just seams to be getting better and better! If you don't know, Annie is a singer/DJ from Norway. She released her debut album in 2004 titled "Annimal" after having great success with the single "The Greatest Hit." (a collaboration with boyfriend Tore Kroknes, before he passed away from a heart condition in 2001) Also on this album, singles such as "Heartbeat"  "Chewing Gum"  "Happy Without You" and "Always To Late" very popular in Norway, and around the world. Scott Plagenhoef of Pitchfork Media referred to the songs as a "dozen slices of stylish, sophisticated electro-pop, crisp tracks that move between the fizzy and the woozy, all anchored by Annie's breathy (sometimes almost muted) vocals."

In 2005 Annie released an album as part of !K7's DJ-Kicks series. Also with Timo Kaukolampi, Annie started a record label called Totally.

On April 27th, 2009 Annie's new CD, titled "Don't Stop" will be coming out! (Song such as "I know UR Girlfriend hates me" and "Two of Heart's" has already been released, and will be on the album.) "Anthonio" will be the first single releasing off new album.
